Water Magic

Sometimes magic happens after ruining a perfectly hopeful painting. Weeks after the life had gone out of this watercolor piece, and with nothing to lose, I forcefully sprayed water at it to see how much pigment could be removed. The results exceeded my original intent to convey the flowing movement of water. Ever since this particular struggle, I adopted this corrective technique into my daily creative process. The accidental magic you see here can be purchased as a giclee print which is just about as impressive as the original.
