Wave Burst

There is nothing quite like a surging, crashing wave to awaken the senses. Who in Maine has not experienced the explosion of water against granite, the smell of ever-shifting seaweed, the feel of salt spray against the skin, and the sight of an iconic lighthouse in the distance? Such are the memories of the senses that instruct me as I paint. Although this is not a real place, this scene is my medley of Maine shoreline experiences.
